SciSys Kasparov Turbo 16K (1985)

TURBO 16K is a sophisticated chess computer which automatically registers your moves on its built-in sensor chessboard. It has 17 different levels of skill and two digital chess clocks to show you the elapsed time for each side. There are a number of additional features such as the unique three-colored LED’s which make all operations easy to understand. You will be sure to appreciate the new instant response program that gives you very fast games in the casual levels.

Your TURBO 16K chess computer has 17 different levels of skill. The first nine are designed for casual play with average response times. In these levels the computer is programmed to try to anticipate various moves you might make and to calculate its responses for each of them while you are thinking. Thus you may very often get an instant response to your moves.

SCISYS TURBO 16K Electronic Chess Computer.

“Ideally suited to chess enthusiasts and club players. Smart, well-equipped and easy to use.”

No need to wait so long for a reply. the advanced predictive powers of the 16K program mean that on many occasions it will anticipate your move and make an “Instant Reply”.

Two LCD digital chess clocks are linked into the computer to keep track of each side’s elapsed time automatically. It has triple-color LED lamps: green, red and yellow.

With an ELO estimated 1850, the very high speed 12 MHz program is suitable for over 92% of chess players. It has 17 levels of play: 9 casual levels, 6 club levels, an analysis level and a problem level that will solve up to Mate-in-10.

One set of alkaline batteries will last over 250 playing hours.
