Steinitz Edition-4 Game Module was launched towards the end of 1982 / beginning of 1983 to replace the Morphy Edition Game Module. It was the last game module launched by Chafitz Inc/Applied Concepts Inc. At around the same time the Capablanca Openings Module was also launched which was written by Larry Atkin.
Steinitz Edition-4 Game Module ran at 4 MHz whereas the predecessor modules launched by Chafitz Inc/Applied Concepts Inc,, all had 2 MHz speed. Additional improvements were made with the display, you could now see the depth of search, best variation and position evaluation.
The Steinitz Edition-4 Game Module was also intended for use with the forthcoming Destiny MEGA-4 GGM which should have been launched towards the end of 1983.
