German short instructions label from the back of Mephisto Junior chess computer.
This is the MEPHISTO JUNIOR travel version from 1982. The program was written by Thomas Nitsche & Elmar Henne who later in 1984 became joint World Champions which was held in Glasgow, Scotland.
The MEPHISTO JUNIOR travel version should not be confused confused with the table top version which came out in 1990 with the chess software written by Eric van Riet Paap.
MEPHISTO JUNIOR travel version is an improved MEPHISTO 1 and uses the experimental program MEPHISTO X which finished first in the 1980 Micro Tournament held in Stockholm, Sweden; finishing ahead of Sargon (Dan & Kathe Spracklen) and Mychess (David Kittinger).
