Excerpt taken from the “Fidelity Gambit” User Manual
It seems that Fidelity Electronics came out with four Gambit Versions which program wise seem to be all the same. But there were some slight differences which you can see from the different photos. I am ordering them based on my Serial Numbers as follows:
- VERSION 1 S/N # 63608410 MODEL # 6084 - Gambit with a different Fidelity Emblem on the top of the computer and box is the same as Version 3. User Manual same but darker brown than Version 3.
- VOICE VERSION S/N # 71212265 MODEL # 6095 - This is the Gambit Voice. Optically the exactly the same as Version 2 and Version 3 but with speech. User Manual is the same as Version 2.
- VERSION 2 S/N # 81412818 MODEL # 6084 - Optically the same as Gambit Voice and Version 3. User Manual is the same as Gambit Voice. Box is the same as Gambit Voice, but it has a black tape across the front of the box with the words “Non-Voice Model Inside”. In addition the Serial Number is also shown on the side of the box as well as on the usual back of the computer label.
- VERSION 3 S/N # 92558977 MODEL # 6084 - Optically the same as Gambit Voice and Version 2. Box is the same as Version 1. User Manual is the same as Version 1 but lighter brown than Version 1.
