The NOVAG DIAMOND is the latest Chess Computer from NOVAG with H8 RISC-Style Technology, which offers an array of new features such as : the computer is learning from its play so as not to repeat bad moves. The new DIAMOND has incorporated Hash-Tables to significantly improve the chess computer’s play, especially the endgame play.

NOVAG DIAMOND MAIN CHARACTERISTICS:

    • A huge array of features and an elegant easy-to-play SENSOR CHESSBOARD assure lasting pleasure.
    • Strong H8 RISC style processor with a 64k program memory and 128k working area.
    • 56 play levels to match your skill including Blitz, Tournament, Training, Analytic and Novice levels.
    • 24 levels REPROGRAMMABLE: personalize the Blitz and Tournament time controls.
    • Independent level settings for White and Black.
    • Wealth of analysis tools including:
      • 118k Hash-Table, approximately 64 Positions to significantly improve the computer’s play, especially in the END Game.
      • 28 ply Depth Search can find mate-in-14 moves.
      • 36,000 pre-stored openings from MASTER CHESS to a maximum depth of 60 ply.
      • 3,000 Position User Programmable Opening Book.
      • Autoplay: the computer will play out a game which you can then restore and replay either at your own speed or with a move played every couple of seconds.
      • Complete Game Review: The computer will go through a game and recommend alternative moves for black, white or both.
      • Verify / Setup any position, next best move, referee mode, easy mode and four stage sound switch.
    • Up to 9 ply principle variation displayed.
    • The DIAMOND learns from its mistakes: The DIAMOND remembers up to 140 positions from games where its score has suddenly dropped. Next time the DIAMOND will avoid the same mistake.
    • 64 Game Storage: The DIAMOND can store, recall and replay up to 64 complete games -    10,000 moves.
    • The cleverly arranged Liquid Crystal Display shows a multitude of playing features:
      • Scrolling of move list.

      • Hint function and training mode.

    • The DIAMOND connects to NOVAG’S unique SUPER SYSTEM which allows you to record and display its full thought processes on most types of home computer and even to display the game, move by move, on a Domestic Color TV.
