CHAMPIONSHIP CHESS written by Alex Ford for the Commodore 64 came out in 1985. It is however the famous SARGON 2 chess program written by Dan & Kathe Spracklen which was originally published in 1983 for the Commodore 64.

The instructions on how to use CHAMPIONSHIP CHESS are shown in the photos below. However, you must remember when using an Emulator that the position of the minus sign (-) on a Commodore 64/128 is the equal sign (=) on a PC. Therefore in order to enter your moves using an Emulator you must enter as follows: e2=e4 etc. !
